Instead of presenting flowers during the loved one’s memorial service, some family members choose instead to ask guests for donations towards LEICSAR. Not only does such an action ensure continued support for us, but it also doubles as a meaningful way for attendees to remember their loved one who has since passed away while simultaneously supporting important great causes in his or her name. Many local funeral homes are often willing and able to assist with this process so be sure you check beforehand if possible before contacting any

The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK to recognise outstanding work done in their communities. It was created in 2002 to celebrate the anniversary of The Queen's coronation. It is the MBE for volunteer groups.

The Association of Lowland Search and Rescue, more commonly using the name Lowland Rescue, is a voluntary organisation in the UK that governs teams who assist the emergency services in the search for missing persons. It is part of UKSAR operators group appointed by the Department for Transport.
Lowland Rescue consists of 36 affiliated search teams who are each an individual charity.
