SAR team member takes on birthday challenge for The Royal Marines Charity

A member of Leicestershire Search & Rescue set off Monday on a 120 mile journey by canoe from Foxton to London in aid of The Royal Marines Charity. Over the last six years Steve Lamb has set himself a different birthday challenge raising thousands for charity.

The six day journey will see him arrive at the Tower of London on his birthday where he will be greeted by family and friends. Raising funds for charity is something that Steve is very passionate about and this year is no exception. His efforts have already seen him raise over £4000.00 for this amazing charity which takes care of the welfare of serving and former Royal Marines.

Harborough FM caught up with him earlier this week, click the link to have a listen to his interview.
